I made a post a few days ago. I said I was happy with the added inertia in the lure system. However, it wasn’t actually implemented correctly.
I’ve since made a very slight change to the code, and the inertia is now much smoother. Using any type of lure feels great and buttery smooth. This change allowed me to add inertia to the fish. The effect is especially noticeable when fishing with high breaking strain line. It no longer feels like you’re just skull dragging fish in, all fights now have real weight to them.
Fishing collision detection is working properly, as is the lure system. Allowing for insane cast over rocky terrain. Honestly, really happy with how it feels now. Finally feels like I can move on to properly balancing the game.
I’ve also been experimenting with AgX tonemapping. And so far definitely vibing with the look. Cheers @DallasDrap for the helpful information.
