I’ve taken a few breaks from the project lately. Been feeling a bit burnt out, but things are picking up again as I focus on making the main loop and the game overall more reliable and consistent.
The menu system I’m using, called Ultimate Menu System, has been a big help. It’s way easier than Unreal’s Common UI package and doesn’t lose focus no matter what input you use.
Now that everything feels a lot tighter, I’m starting my first proper balancing pass. I’ve attached a short clip showing what the game looks like in its current state.
